The Final Draft
A Literary Rage Room
Service Description
The Final Draft- A Writing Workshop for Healing, Liberation, and Letting Go We have now gone VIRTUAL!!! Your link to join via Zoom will be sent one day prior to class. Welcome to The Final Draft—your literary rage and resilience room! These guided writing sessions aren’t about grammar or perfection. They’re about truth. About release. About finding freedom in the words you’ve been too afraid, too polite, or too wounded to say out loud. Whether you're working through grief, reclaiming your voice, or just need a space to unload, this workshop gives you a safe place to write it out—and let it go. Each virtual session invites you to explore powerful themes of healing, resilience, and personal liberation. Through structured prompts, group reflection, and optional sharing, you'll dig deeper into your story, make meaningful connections, and begin to heal—one page at a time. October's Theme: Identity and Influence Session Dates and Topics October 6/Session 1: The Mirror & the Mask Write about a time when you felt you had to “wear a mask” to fit in. How did that shape your true identity? October 13/Session 2: Roots & Branches Write about a person, place, or tradition that deeply influenced you. If your identity were a tree, what would your roots be? Your branches? October 27/Session 3: The Soundtrack of Me Choose a song, poem, or quote that has defined a chapter of your life. Write about why it matters and how it influenced your personal narrative. In November, we’re leaning into thankfulness, acceptance, and grace — even in life’s messy moments. This month invites us to go deeper than surface-level gratitude and discover the beauty that exists in every season, even the hard ones. Together, we’ll explore what it means to practice authentic gratitude and extend gentle grace — to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us. November Sessions: 11/5 Letters of Gratitude — to people, places, or moments that shaped us 11/15 Thankful for the Hard Things — finding beauty and purpose in struggle 11/24 Grace Notes — discovering forgiveness and kindness through writing No writing experience required—just bring your story, your pen, and your truth. We'll provide the prompts, the encouragement, and the next steps. If you register within one week of the class, you'll receive the companion tea to help give a deeper connection to your writing.
